about us

We are the University of Virginia's only philanthropic a cappella group, founded in 2015 by a group of girls who wanted to combine life's two greatest missions: fun and service!

Our mission

The AcHOOstics are a community built on the belief that music can bring people together and create meaningful change. As a philanthropic a cappella group, our mission is to combine our passion for music with our commitment to service, using performance as a way to uplift, connect, and give back to our community. Through every rehearsal, performance, and service initiative, we strive to support important causes and create an environment where friendship, compassion, and artistry can thrive together. Check out the "Charities & Donors" section to learn more about which organizations we have supported in our journey!
